SENIOR SCIENTIST, VECTOR ANALYTIC DEVELOPMENT

Adicet Bio is developing a next generation manufacturing process to advance our platform of "off-the-shelf" immune cell products. We are currently seeking individuals for our viral vector group as we advance our production platforms. The position offers a chance to be part of a highly motivated team, applying the latest cell culture and bioprocessing practices to facilitate development of our proprietary cell therapies.

We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced individual with an analytical development background to join our viral vector team. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of Adicet's product pipeline by developing and optimizing analytical assays and techniques designed to support the advancement of our viral vector research and manufacturing platforms.

The individual will serve as the technical lead for a team of junior scientists and will work in collaboration with Upstream and Downstream vector groups, Tech Ops teams, and external collaborators, in order to meet project timelines and develop a highly consistent and robust viral vector production program.

Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design and execution of upstream and downstream studies seeking to characterize in-process intermediates and end of process material.
  • Drafting and editing of standard operating procedures, analytical test methods, analytical sampling plans, technical documents, and batch records for regulatory or tech transfer purposes.
  • Serve as an SME when communicating with and conducting reviews of data generated from Quality Control (QC), Contract Testing Laboratories (CTL) and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CDMO).
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to lead, design and execute analytical studies to enable stability and vector potency programs.
  • Source and assess new equipment and technologies in order to expand and improve analytical capabilities for analysis of viral vector materials.
  • Contribute to budget and goal planning of the overall viral vector group.
  • Successfully execute and document laboratory procedures and experimental studies with great attention to detail.

Viral Vector Development - Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell or Molecular Biology, or related life science field with 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical or industrial setting, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with development of flow cytometry panels and analytical methods is required.
  • Experience with qPCR or ddPCR procedures and assay development is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with viral vector or CAR-T quality programs is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with current principles, concepts, practices, and suppliers of a range of analytical techniques including: ELISA, qPCR, Octet, Luminex, MSD, electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, W. Blot, CE) is expected.
  • Previous experience serving as part of technology transfer teams or process development with external CMOs is strongly desired.
  • Mammalian tissue culture experience (BSL2 level) is expected; previous experience working with primary cell lines is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other commonly used software. Experience with analytical and graphical software (JMP, Graphpad, etc.) is strongly desired.
  • 2+ years of experience recruiting and leading teams of junior scientists is preferred
  • Proven ability to mentor individuals to achieve organization, team and individual objectives while adhering to the company values (fearless, accountable, collaborative)
