What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of supply chain and site personnel, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing supply chain strategies through a range of activities. Your team will rely on your management skills while forecasting and planning supply chain and production plans. Your breadth of experience will be leveraged for increasing effectiveness of supply chain initiatives through monitoring key performance indicators and coordinating cross-functional work teams. Your managerial skills will help in leading and developing people and managing technological and financial resources. The Sanford Site Supply Chain Lead is part of the Sanford Operations Supply Chain Management Department and has direct responsibility for Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning & Scheduling, Warehousing and Distribution/Shipping, as well as SAP and master data management.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Accountable for activities involved with all clinical and commercial supply chain management activities at the site including, but not limited to, Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning & Scheduling, Customer Service, Warehousing and Distribution, SAP accuracy and SAP master data management.
  • Accountable for the Site Master Production Plan in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain department and other site functions. Leads the Supply Planning team to ensure robust Detailed Production schedules are in place, achieving inventory targets as well as ite and Intersite service levels.
  • Accountable for ensuring all supply chain activities are following site and corporate requirements for supply chain management, as well as applicable Global/ Regional safety, regulatory and customs procedures.
  • Coordinate the activities of the entire supply chain team ensuring potential supply issues are identified, communicated and resolved in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of SAP master data.
  • Responsible for talent planning that includes coaching, mentoring, colleague development, performance management and developing a succession plan for key roles.
  • Lead process improvement projects that improve site supply chain performance, compliance and efficiency.
  • Responsible for the performance management of direct and indirect reports
  • Share best practices and look for opportunities to replicate those from other sites.
  • Responsible for coordination of monthly metrics and annual performance assessments of supply chain programs.
  • Have direct interactions with Regulatory Agencies (FDA, MHRA, etc.) during site audits and during major investigations.
  • Manage own time to meet agreed metric, targets and timelines
  • Maintain supply chain costs within site and department budgets.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse/Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, or a similar function in a regulated environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team/managing direct reports is required.
  • Demonstrated mastery of supply chain, planning, inventory, and warehouse concepts, including use of SAP.
  • Must have administrative, managerial skills, technical report writing, computer, and presentation skills.
  • A working knowledge of the relevant portions of cGMP regulation is required.
  • Excellent communications and ability to interact across functional and site boundaries.
  • Demonstrated breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • MS/MA in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Understanding and demonstrated use of Operational Excellence techniques leading to best in class performance
  • GMP Manufacturing /Aseptic Processing Experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
