Intabio has an opening for a Technical Sales Manager with a home base in the San Francisco Bay Area. This individual will bring their industry experience to interactions with pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers while working with the Field Applications Specialist to present data-driven presentations on the Blaze technology when integrated with a mass spectrometer. The ideal candidate is experienced in selling highly technical scientific instrumentation to pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. The candidate will be a key member of the Sales Team and will be responsible for understanding the Blaze technology as well as the required mass spectrometry knowledge to interact and sell Blaze. The Technical Sales Manager will also be responsible for generating and following up on new leads, navigating customers through the purchasing process and maintaining key customer relationships. The candidate will also provide weekly sales and work in the assigned geography to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets. This position reports to the Director of Sales. The corporate office is in Fremont, CA.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Sell Intabio Blaze in the assigned geography
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of the Intabio product line
  • Proactively generate new sales leads and opportunities
  • Develop key accounts within assigned territory
  • Navigate orders through the customer purchasing process
  • Update Salesforce CRM system regularly
  • Provide weekly sales forecasts to Management
  • Maintain positive customer relations
  • Conduct pre-sales seminars and technical presentations
  • Work closely with the Field Application Scientist team to conduct product demonstrations and to move the sales process forward


  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field; Masters' degree a plus
  • 5 year's sales experience in the life sciences tools industry selling instrumentation
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success and exceeding quota
  • Experience selling in complex purchasing environments with multiple decision makers
  • Travel up to 30% overnight when required

  • Ability to travel domestically, as needed
