Accounts Payable Specialist

The AP Specialist reports directly to Intellia's Accounting Manager and works closely with all areas of the organization as well as the Company's vendors and external independent audit firm. The AP Specialist will be a key individual contributor responsible for: Accounts Payable, corporate credit card program, time and expense reporting, 1099 reporting, and monthly AP close activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support full cycle accounts payable activities in a high-volume environment: entering, processing, and paying invoices.
• Maintain and Manage the AP Inbox by Importing all Invoices into Oracle Fusion's Imaging Center and respond to all vendor inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
• Work with the Procurement Team to add and maintain vendor records in the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate files and thorough documentation
• Monitor corporate credit card expenditures, audit expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies, create invoices from the expense reports.
• Prepare annual 1099 reports.
• Assist in month end closing by preparing AP accruals and the AP account reconciliation.
• Identify, track, and properly account for prepaid expenses.
• Assist with ad hoc projects.
• Promote process improvements and support related projects and implementations.
• Support requests of the external audit team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
• Experience using an integrated accounting system, Oracle Fusion Strongly Preferred
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Effective communication skills (both written and oral)
• Adaptable to changing priorities, high-volume and a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and all other Microsoft Office Applications, and Adobe
