Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Commercial Business Intelligence assists the build, QC, roll-out, and support of brand-specific Business Intelligence reporting and dashboards, collaborating with Business Intelligence team and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops new dashboards/reports, as well as maintain/enhance existing ones, utilizing the Horizon corporate BI tool, MS PowerBI
  • Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of underlying data model, utilizing MS SQL Server Analysis Services
  • Conducts robust QC on new reports developed by the Business Intelligence team
  • Supports the design and requirements gathering of new work
  • Supports the rollout and support of new users on the platform
  • Liaisons with data team for proper data sourcing and transformation for BI data model, with a solid understanding of data sources and their ultimate application and relation to the reports
  • Supports Business Intelligence manager and director on project planning and assisting junior staff


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • BA/BS required
  • 4+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or in business analytics consulting, including experience in Business Intelligence Analytics, Market Research and/or Sales Analytics; Software Development and Database Architecture preferred
  • Demonstrated high proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc), with PowerBI experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated general proficiency with MS Analysis Services and Tabular Models builds, leveraging DAX for calculated measures/columns
  • Demonstrated general proficiency in data management and enterprise data platforms (such as Microsoft SQL Server), statistical modeling packages (such as Python, SAS, and/or, R) and office productivity software (such as Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations, supported by sound and thorough analytics solutions
  • Strong quality control and testing techniques and attention to detail
