What You Will Achieve

As a valued member of the Rocky Mount Site Leadership Team, you will provide leadership and have overall operational responsibility for Supply Chain and Logistics Operations, as well as Pfizer CenterOne (PC1) interface for the site, reporting directly to the Site Leader.

The Logistics team includes receiving, warehousing, material movement, shipping, transportation and external warehousing and trade compliance.

The Supply Chain team includes Planning (master planning, scheduling, inventory analysis and inventory management) and Customer Service (customer interface, demand management, LRVF, capacity analysis and volume, order fulfillment and trade compliance).

PC1 team includes PC1 customer relationship management, PC1 analysis for new opportunities and new product introductions.

As department Leader, you will own Business Systems Management and data administration, while also responsible for supporting Pfizer production system (IMEx) through the deployment leader and Continuous Improvement Specialist.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Develop a strategic logistics and supply master plan, executing projects against that plan to ensure 100% customer service.
  • Lead long-term capacity assessments to assure appropriate capital investments supportive of long term commercial and sourcing plans.
  • Actively participate in internal and market S&OP processes to ensure complete alignment of supply and demand through the site supply chain.
  • In collaboration with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Procurement, develop supply strategies and interface with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials.
  • Ensure optimal and accurate maintenance of all master data and parameters to ensure accurate and robust supply plans are available.
  • Create annual expense budgets, successfully executing against the budget.
  • Drive safety performance and safety improvements.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (GMP, DEA, Safety, Environmental, etc.) and lead a culture of compliance, articulating, role modeling, and providing leadership toward the desired culture.
  • Represent the Supply Chain function during regulatory and customer audits.
  • Create a state of audit readiness and participate in and/or leading self-audits.
  • Deliver logistics services and support to the site to ensure materials are received, moved and shipped on-time and in a compliant manner.
  • Execute HR processes (staffing, development planning, talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, discipline, recognition).
  • Interact with and provide guidance to third-party logistics providers.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all facets of the operations (safety, quality, cost, service).


  • Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a regulated industry required; or Master's degree with 7 years of pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years warehousing/logistics experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years at the managerial level successfully directing and developing staff level colleagues required.
  • Experience participating in audits and interacting with regulatory agencies desired
  • The successful candidate will be a well-organized, creative, independent, self-motivated individual with exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, aseptic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience participating in audits and interacting with regulatory agencies
  • SAP experience
  • APICS certification
