What You Will Achieve

As a valued member of the Rocky Mount Site Leadership Team (SLT), you will lead a variety of strategic functions, including Pfizer production system (IMEx), Operational Excellence, and Training, reporting directly to the Site Leader.

You will provide leadership/project management with the site transformation over the course of 2021, and will establish key elements for transformational sustainability. Additional responsibilities include on-going internal and external deliverables, and special projects, working with the Site Leaders and Site Leadership Team members in Rocky Mount, NC and McPherson, KS, as well as Global Sterile Injectable (GSI)/Pfizer functions and departments.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Manage the integration of activities within the role's remit, including IMEx, OpEx, Training and the site-wide cultural and organizational change in partnership with the SLT.
  • Responsible for the full deployment of the IMEX Production System and its governance across all functions within the Rocky Mount site.
  • Responsible to build a comprehensive Operational Excellence program at Rocky Mount that ensures the optimum level of capabilities / methodologies are embedded within each business and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide operational support to the Site Leader to enhance goal clarity, organizational efficiency, ensuring alignment of activities across the Rocky Mount SLT, McPherson and GSI/PGS partners.
  • Support the Site Leader in internal and external meetings, including leading the compilation and/or creation of appropriate briefing materials.
  • Manage and track commitments, execute follow-up activities as appropriate and ensure SLT and site implementation.
  • Support a culture of Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy: instill a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, measuring results, and recognition and rewarding our values and behaviors.
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of site-wide cultural transformation in partnership with the SLT and in full alignment to GSI and Pfizer Global Supply transformational goals
  • Coach and mentor others, motivate others to maintain a consistent level of excellence in project management and outcomes.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent discipline required.
  • 10 years of directly related experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years experience in Operational Excellence or Transformational Leadership required.
  • 5 years of experience leading direct reports required.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to consider various stakeholder needs and cross-functional impact in all decision-making.
  • Clear vision for complex transformational strategies and a large organization.
  • Experience implementing and driving change management processes.
  • The successful candidate will be a well-organized, creative, independent, self-motivated individual with exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Proven ability to devise and manage metrics/scorecards to measure effectiveness and productivity; strong analytic skills, including the ability to build qualitative and quantitative arguments.

  • Experience within a pharmaceutical drug product manufacturing environment.
