Associate Manager (Grade 17), Market Access MABI

Key Objectives: Provide analytic leadership and integrate marketing, sales and trade information to
  • Strengthen the Market Access team's understanding of marketplace performance and opportunities through tracking and analysis of physician, account and competitive data
  • In collaboration with Brand Market Research/Analytics partners, consult with marketing access leadership to formulate strategy, identify potential tactical initiatives, enhance promotional programs and develop metrics for measuring/improving program execution.
  • Meaningfully communicate insights and information to a broad group of stakeholders through exceptional oral and written communication.

Key AbbVie Responsibilities
  • Identify and recommend key issues to be addressed by research and/or analytics; recommend appropriate research technique or analytical approach to meet business objectives.
  • Conduct analysis and interpret research findings, synthesizing them into actionable business insights for multiple stakeholders.
  • Supervise external suppliers to ensure timely and high quality project execution.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with secondary data sources and integrate therapeutic area and customer knowledge into research and analytic interpretations and recommendations.
  • Identify and address key business issues relative to product or channel performance, ensuring that multiple stakeholder perspective is considered, and integrate all available information specific to the issue.
  • Effectively communicate results of complex research, analytical models and integrated datasets to influence action to improve brand/trade performance.
  • Leverage/build innovative, sophisticated analytic models that address critical issues but also meet key business criteria (e.g. cost, risk, business impact) and key technical criteria (e.g. reliability, validity, and predictability).
  • Partner with MA MABI and brand analytics colleagues to elevate the use of analytic modeling methods to further optimize execution and ensure alignment on business rules applied to data.


Basic Requirements
  • BA or BS degree (Business Administration, Statistics, Economics or similar) required, with a concentration in marketing/sales/quantitative analysis.
  • This position requires 2-4 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis of data and the use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies. It also requires strong leadership skills and a proven ability to work closely and effectively with all corporate functions and management.
  • Working knowledge of multivariate statistics, analytical software and pharmaceutical data sources (IMS, Symphony Health, HIRC, HSG, Formulary & coverage policy data etc.).
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: anticipate future needs, build collaborative partnerships, design and implement innovative solutions, demystify complex information, communicate insights and solutions and coach for greater team effectiveness.
  • Command of Microsoft Office.

  • Master's degree/MBA
  • Pharma Experience
  • Market Access/Managed Health Care Experience
