Job Details

The successful candidate will play an integral part in Regeneron's long-standing commitment to develop novel therapies for diseases caused by viral pathogens. You will be supporting several projects focused on development of novel therapeutics and technology platforms targeting the influenza virus and host factors associated with influenza virus pathology, with the ultimate goal of bringing novel drugs into the clinic. Designing and performing in vivo efficacy studies and developing novel methodology. Utilizing in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro techniques, including molecular biology techniques such as cloning. This candidate will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary, cross-functional team focused on studying virus-host interactions.

As the Associate Scientist, a typical day might include the following:
  • Assessing therapeutic candidates in mouse models of viral infection
  • Independently planning, executing in vivo studies.
  • Independently analyzing results, creating presentations and presenting data
  • Mentoring junior colleagues with potential to supervise an RA level direct report

To be considered for this position you must have a Ph.D in virology, immunology, or molecular biology plus 3 years of highly relevant lab experience. The qualified individual will have a strong background in mouse models of disease, virology, and immunology. This is a lab-based, hands-on position and is a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow their expertise and learn many facets of drug development in a fast-paced environment.
