The Associate Director of Clinical Drug Supply Planning and Forecasting role is a key role within Global Clinical Operations. As part of the CDS leadership team, the AD collaborates with senior management across the organization including, production, Clinical Operations, and Development Program Management to drive the implementation of optimized supply strategies for clinical studies.

In this role a typical day might include:
• Leading Strategic Program Team discussions regarding Investigation Product
• Crafting and presenting program-level, aggregate forecasts and demand plans to members of senior management
• Identifying supply risks and implementing corrective actions and mitigation strategies to maintain supply continuity
• Leading the utilization of forecasting and simulation software for clinical trials across the portfolio
• Developing supply strategies to be adopted at the portfolio level based on aggregated analytics output
• Communicating proposals to cross-functional partners and aligning on logistical details to ensure a seamless transition from concept to operational implementation
• Overseeing comparator budgets at a portfolio and study level, ensuring review, presentation and approval of initial budget
• Managing the budget through the lifecycle of the program by communicating changes to clinical operations team, as appropriate
• Accounting for supplier/vendor-related relationship management and acting as a point of escalation for performance issues
• Building strong, enduring relationships with stakeholder groups to create a culture of high performance
• Acting as a key escalation point for internal customers and cross-functional partners

This role may be for you if:
You have Extensive experience in clinical forecasting including the ability to translate complex clinical trial designs into demand forecasts and supply plans
You have deep understanding of supply chain networks, clinical regulations, timelines and analytics to facilitate communications to leadership and to develop efficient clinical supply solutions balancing multiple business objectives.
You have the demonstrated ability to develop new ways of working and the creativity to aid in establishing robust business processes related to the forecasting function
You are an influential leader capable of building trust across all levels of the organization
You can develop solutions for diverse and complex supply chain issues simultaneously for multiple studies across various treatment areas
You have ability to make forecasting decisions that align work with organizational priorities, even in ambiguous situations

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a degree in supply chain, drug development or related field, or equivalent qualification or experience. In addition, at least 10 years working with clinical supply chains is a must. We're seeking a leader with in-depth knowledge of R&D supply chain and the drug development process. Vendor management and budget management experience are also vital to be successful in the role. Experience with forecasting, planning, and simulations software is a plus.
