This Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for performing audits and reconciliation of non-medical (M&E) and advisory board events to ensure data is accurate and compliant with Abbvie's OPPFs, procedures, and CFMs. This is accomplished by monitoring event data submitted by third-party vendors (TPVs) and confirming data feeds accurately into our internal systems for use primarily in state / federal and ad hoc reporting.

This position works closely with the Business Services Group (BSG), Central Consultancy Group (CCG), BTS, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC), Brand Teams, Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence (MA&BI), Purchasing (PSM), Logistical and Advertising Agencies, and Finance. This Sr. Financial Analyst role supports the integration activities in the FCT reporting system MARS (Monitoring, Analytics, and Reporting System) across all HCP spending categories and is the US Commercial expert in managing consulting meeting activities within the AbbVie reporting tool Atrium /CVent while managing our current relationships and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead testing of MARs enhancements to support cross functional business needs. Define requirements including support development of system updates, training of TPVs, and creation of job aids.
  • Event Tool Management liaison for current reporting process ATRIUM / CVENT for US Commercial processes.
  • Streamline current Event Tool Management process by simplifying and supporting consistent methodology usage and reporting across Abbvie .
  • Lead with BSG, MA&BI and Purchasing for system impacts/updates related to PCYC and Allergan integrations as well as any future opportunities.
  • Manage monitoring requirements by assuring review completed in a timely manner. Work with TPVs to meet timelines and provide appropriate documentation. Support all audit process requirements.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines with accurately reported data.
  • Ensure correct reporting for all Transfer of Value (TOV) from AbbVie to the reportable Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Teaching Hospitals (HCOs) for US Commercial.
  • Cross functional member with OEC to create monitoring governances across areas of responsibility.
  • Execute quarterly review of Royalty payments for transparency reporting needs.
  • Complete quarterly review of market research projects per monitoring plan and present results to management. Ensure appropriate reporting of unblinded projects for transparency reporting needs. Identify trends and train MA&BI and/or TPVs, as needed.
  • Perform semi-annual Agency of Record reconciliation process and analysis of invoices.
  • System expert in ATRIUM/CVENT, Insight Farm, MARS, ACE, DataMart and Rapid Zone usage.
  • Analyze data identifying pattern and trends instituting suggestions for correction of any errors encountered.
  • Look for ways to streamline processes to allow for efficient data correction and improved data quality. Consistently initiates and implements process improvements across departments and work groups. Develops and proposes solutions to ambiguous problems.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the monitoring plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Support HCP Dispute Resolution, transparency and audit related questions.
  • Establishes and effectively manages timelines to ensure key tight reporting deadlines or project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Listens actively to acquire information and understand others' viewpoint. Initiates and cultivates open, honest, and beneficial relationships with colleagues and customers by establishing rapport, developing an understanding of others' needs, and promoting common goals.
  • Meets deadlines with minimal supervision, balances workload requirements. Focuses attention on detail and compliance to OPPF guidelines, financial policies and federal/state laws. Must exhibit a high degree of integrity and be able to consistently enforce CFMs and OPPFs using Clear and Courageous behaviors.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Knowledge of Regulations and Standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products
  • Prior audit and system implementation experience a plus.
  • Excel experience along with Word/Power Point/Access experience. Able to quickly learn or possess experience with ACE, DataMart, Rapid Zone, etc).
