The Sr Marketing Manager of Medical Benefit Copay is part of the Medical Benefit team and reports to Marketing Director for the Medical Benefit Channel.

This position delivers the strategy, development, and ensuring of affordability and access to therapies through the management of various patient Affordability programs enabling patients to get started on the prescribed treatment as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities for this role will include the following:
  • Develop and execute patient OOP-specific strategies for short and long-term affordability solutions, including completing goals and priorities to accomplish and measuring and tracking success
  • Lead copay and coinsurance programs that provide patient cost-sharing assistance, including method of grant issuance
  • Assist in development and implementation of copay program strategies
  • Lead team to develop copay program resources including meaningful trainings
  • Lead team that will develop tools and training such as affordability and access materials for HCPs, patients, caregivers, etc.
  • Marketing material submission of above brand copay programs materials, including trainings
  • Serve as an advisor Copay Program Support for every brand
  • Lead connectivity to other affordability solutions
  • Handle Key Performance Indicators and dashboard metrics
  • Lead, supervise, and foster the career development of the Medical Copay team
  • Work with Hub team to find opportunities for bridge programs to provide access to therapy while BV occurs to ensure the patient treatment is started quickly and is uninterrupted; coordinate transition from bridge program to insurance coverage
  • Ensure appropriate support patients whose benefits require a prescription switch with solutions that facilitate a smooth transition and reduces gap between treatments
  • Identify appropriate offerings of clinical trial options that provide starter therapies to patients and ensure no gap in treatment during coverage transition
  • Collaborate with Hub vendor (via regular meetings, reports, and other communications) in establishing SOPs for patient support service offerings (including identification of points of entry)
  • Work cross-functionally with other business units as well as internal partners to ensure maintenance of Amgen legal, regulatory, and compliance standards


Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or

Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or

Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the US access and payer environments, coverage and reimbursement, and/or patient support landscape
  • 4+ years marketing, sales, access or patient support program management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare space
  • Shown ability to develop high impact resources aligned to overall brand strategy
  • Strategic development experience including developing access marketing strategy, message development, campaign development, etc.
  • Agency and vendor management experience, with a focus on copay programs
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel; experience developing strategic slide presentations
  • Self-starter, quick learner, results driven; ability to work under limited supervision and prioritize a diverse workload of projects and ensure detailed pull through.
