We are looking for a R&D Associate in our VelociGene Vector Construction group to support our NGS pipeline. The VelociGene department creates genetically engineered models to support Regeneron's entire early drug discovery portfolio.

In this role, a typical day may include:
• Support the next generation sequencing (NGS) pipeline used to characterize our models.
• Perform sample production following SOPs and troubleshoot results when required.
• Update databases used for sample tracking, analyze results and report data in a clear and concise manner.
• Operate Hamilton robotics and other instrumentation in the laboratory.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and excellent time management of daily tasks.
• Track the inventory of reagents and keep team aware of ordering needs.

• Willing to learn new software and techniques used in the group.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a related scientific subject area. We are looking for someone with hands-on Molecular Biology experience in order to prepare samples to support our Next Generation Sequencing pipeline (pipetting and PCR). Experience with lab automation in a high throughput setting preferred (Illumina sequencers, Hamilton STAR.) We are willing to train on automated systems for completion of lab work. Level will be commensurate with relevant experience.
