Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our Summer Internship Program! As an intern at Kite, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn about cell therapy from some of the brightest minds in biotech while making a meaningful impact. The Role

As an intern in this position you will get exposure to different engineering areas including Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS, spare parts management and maintenance practices. The role will support the implementation of Maintenance processes in the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Generate documentation to support project implementation using Kite policies and guidelines
  • CMMS data entry / verification ability to Identify technical data from equipment and instrumentation manuals & P&ID's
  • Develop CMMS work instructions for end users
  • Provided recommendations for CMMS improvements
  • Generate spare parts list for critical and non-critical equipment and instruments
  • Perform special projects including designing/developing creative solutions to reduce cost
  • Support reliability maintenance practices for facilities systems / equipment
  • Work and communicate with engineering department as needed on projects and implementation of standards at local level.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be currently enrolledin a full time Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited university/college
  • Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing
  • Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between June and September
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Kite sponsorship
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree concentration(s) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance
  • Knowledge of CMMS
  • Experience with Minitab or similar software
  • Completed or in a process of completing courses on following topics:
    • Statistical Methods
    • Engineering Materials and Manufacturing Process
    • Spar Parts management
    • Optimization
