The Regional Director (RD), Cardiometabolic and Rare Disease will be responsible for hiring, leading, developing and retaining the field sales team in the Central US region. We expect the RD will ensure strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and expectations relating to product goals and driving accountability for all partners. We are seeking an individual who will Work with a high degree of integrity and rigorously following all Regeneron policies and in compliance with all policies and procedures governing the promotion of pharmaceutical and biologic products in the US. The Central US Region includes: IL, MO, TN, LA, OK.

A typical day may be:
• Establish Regional business plans to achieve goals for the Midwest region, and effectively allocate financial, human and corporate resources within regulatory and ethical guidelines
• Drive the development and execution of account based Business plans
• Interact with specialists in the Cardiometabolic field, attending national and regional congresses and meetings. Field work should focus on assessing customer and field needs, reviewing objectives, mentor, and performance management
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with National, Regional and Local clinical specialists
• Serves as a leader for Regeneron initiatives to address strategic business/marketing/targeting planning and execution
• Develops and supports positive relationships with all customers involved in getting product to patients
• Consistently executes training programs with the field sales team that insures that they are viewed by their customers as the top scientific specialists
• Develop and execute Incentive Compensation plan for field team in accordance with corporate objectives and within REGN guidelines in a compliant manner
• Partner with multiple internal partners to proactively analyze and address customer needs, market dynamics and trends that support brand and collaboration objectives

Your experience will include the following:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree or other advanced degree/ certification is a plus (Focused degree in science or clinical experience is a plus )A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with 5 years of sales leadership/management in both infusable (Buy and Bill/ Part B) (SPP/ Part D) self-injectable biologic products required. Prior experience in sales leadership for a rare disease product highly desired; Cardiovascular / Lipid sales leadership is a plus. Proven leadership with a successful record of hiring, coaching, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent within span of control. You will have shown success and a positive track record of personal performance within complex markets and systems.

Strong disease-state/product knowledge with an ability to learn and adapt quickly to remain current on healthcare/disease-state trends. Demonstrated ability to hold self and others accountable for action and results within Regeneron corporate policies setting high expectations of integrity for self and others. Analytical skills will be essential, as you execute your plans. Strong understanding of Payer environment, reimbursement and challenges within National payer market including; government programs, managed health care and evolving health care systems. You must be able to travel extensively within the region and nationally.
