Job Details
As Executive Director, SPD - Oncology, a typical day might include:
- Leading a cross functional team to create and execute against an integrated development plan, including early development from IND enabling studies to FIH, POC, fast to market strategies and late stage development and commercialization.
- Providing strategic guidance for Oncology program development including research, clinical, regulatory, supply (covering tox, clinical and commercial materials), and commercial needs.
- Interacting and contributing across the spectrum from discovery through late-stage development and commercialization in Oncology.
- Identifying and aligning key partners across REGN and ensure full strategic engagement.
- Ensuring that scientific rigor and innovation continues to be integrated into and drives development strategies.
- Driving broader cross functional perspective and understanding of the competitive and commercial landscape.
- Translating development program strategies/ recommendations and concepts between the teams and senior leaders.
- Representing REGN at joint development committee(s).
- You have excellent communication and leadership skills; must have the ability to concisely and cogently report to line and senior management the plans and outcomes for the program.s
- You have an outstanding ability and skills to lead through ambiguity and work effectively with senior management and cross functional partners.
- You are very comfortable working within a highly matrixed environment and influencing across functional areas outside of direct line management.
To be considered for this opportunity you must possess a MD, PhD, or PharmD. 10 years minimum experience with broad drug development experience in oncology. Consistent track record in leading programs forward through development breakthroughs, filing, submission/approval in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical company; experience or knowledge of biologics preferred. Understand the competitive landscape and regulatory requirements for drug approval. Possess outstanding analytical skills and can present to and hold their own with senior leaders. Ability to deeply and rigorously interpret clinical and preclinical data. Ability to craft development strategies with the team and convey and implement those strategies. Ability to anticipate and identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
