Scientist: Nanofabrication, Surface Chemistry and Microfluidics

Position Summary: Terray Therapeutics is seeking a Scientist for our transformative platform technology. Our platform incorporates nano fabricated silicon chips, microfluidic flow cells and functionalized microbeads. Next generation R&D will involve improvements in all of these components.

The core of this job will be designing and overseeing the production of novel chip designs with regards to both geometry and surface chemistry. An ideal candidate will also contribute to improvements in integrating these chips with microfluidic flow cells, including designing and implementing enhancements on the microfluidics side. An ideal candidate will also have the background to support designing and executing novel bead surface chemistry functionalization to enable integration with enhanced chips and microfluidic flow cells.

Qualifications include:
• Ph.D. or M.S. in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field with minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
• Proven track record of innovation in the field of nanofabrication and surface chemistry
• Experience in chips functionalized for biological interfaces
• Demonstrated experience in characterization and testing of complex systems
• Preferred experience with microfluidics and device integration
• Preferred experience with fluorescent microscopy
• Preferred experience with solid phase synthesis or microbeads
