Director, Consumer Marketing-Body Contouring and Portfolio

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...
  • A Strategic Director. You will develop and direct the consumer marketing activities for the Body Contouring brand plan (CoolSculpting and Cool Tone) and lead various marketing strategies across the Aesthetics portfolio. All activities must be conducted ensuring regulatory/legal requirements are met and maintained. This position will focus on the development of the body contouring consumer strategy, creative, media and content, designed to drive awareness, conversion and retention. The role is responsible for managing a working media budget, including print, tv, social media and digital marketing. These DTC initiatives also require establishing appropriate metrics and tracking those metrics for ROI analysis.
  • A Collaborative Team-Player. You work closely with the brand Product Directors and Associate Vice President of Consumer Marketing, as well as various key stakeholders to ensure communications to consumers, patients and to physicians are closely aligned as appropriate. This role will also be responsible for leading DTC regulatory strategy development, in partnership with MLR, to craft compelling claims that meet FDA standards. Activities require analysis of primary/secondary market research, development of strategic plans and application of the results.
  • A Fast-Thinking Innovator. You will show skill in working in a multi-faceted high-paced environment with internal and external resources, including multiple agency partners. The Director must have demonstrated marketing acumen, including PR, CRM, traditional media and online experience, with strengths in people and project management. Additionally, this role will be called upon to be the consumer insights and DTC expert with the field sales organization and customers.

  • Ensure DTC strategies and tactics are aligned with professional promotions strategy
  • Develop patient / consumer strategy and content, working cross functionally across the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio to ensure an integrated and timely launch
  • Work with agencies in development, implementation and execution of patient / consumer plan
  • Work with Loyalty team to ensure optimal management and execution of CRM programs
  • Perform analysis of marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate functional units on tactical programs
  • Coordinate internal legal, regulatory, and medical review of materials
  • Participate in market research and integrate insights into tactical execution
  • Execute production and distribution of materials in support of Direct to Patient / Consumer efforts
  • Responsibility for social influencer engagement, managing social media outlets (FB, Instagram, etc.), digital content development & management (separate brand websites, patient testimonials & assets x3 brands), digital advertising (including OLV, social/retargeting) and Out of Home Advertising.


  • Bachelor's degree in related field, MBA Preferred
  • 7+ years Product management experience
  • Aesthetics experience preferred
  • Product launch experience required
  • Experience with DTP / DTC campaign development and execution
  • Knowledge of health care and or pharmaceutical industry
  • Solid knowledge of marketing areas including product positioning, marketing plan development and execution, strategic communications, product launch, public and private payer reimbursement environment and life-cycle management
  • Successful track record of strategic and tactical marketing
  • Understanding of direct-to-patient marketing
  • Public Relations experience preferred
