The Associate Director, Channel Management and Marketing - Presbyopia is accountable for building, launching, and running the multi-channel distribution program for the first-ever eye drop for presbyopia. The Associate Director will be managing an expansive platform that involves traditional retail pharmacy as well as digital distribution. To this end, the role requires significant internal cross functional collaboration as well as communications and operations oversight of key partners. In particular, the Assoc Dir works with manufacturing and supply chain to plan product movement, and coordinates with the integrated brand team on pre-launch and launch marketing activities.

Main Areas of Responsibility:
  • Lead the design, build, test, and launch of the overall multi-channel model
  • Manage key digital partner relationships, spanning both the implementation phase as well as post-launch
  • Evaluate channel performance; review with the integrated brand team; drive changes
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in as it relates to shifts in consumer purchase patterns, and emergence of potential new partners with differentiated services
  • Contribute to marketing campaign design aimed at consumer activation including support of Allergan loyalty program
  • Develop effective working relationships with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, IT, brand teams and executive leadership
  • Responsible for pricing strategy, margin management, and negotiating the onboarding of new vendors
  • Present, lead, and negotiate pieces through the legal, regulatory, and medical review process
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in presbyopia, anterior segment and eyecare
  • Drive a high level of communication with cross-functional partners
  • Responsible for budget coordination and management
  • Contribute to the development of overall executive briefings on launch progress
  • Ability to travel up to 30%


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of specialty sales/marketing experience
  • At least 3 years product management experience in direct to physician marketing preferred
  • Experience in product launches
  • Healthcare industry experience with an established track record in managing industry-based marketing functions

The desired candidate will have a demonstrable track record in the following areas:
  • Working in a multi-faceted high-paced matrix environment,
  • Bringing new products to market, project management, and managing multiple projects with budget oversight
  • Leading new program design and implementation in preparation for launch
  • Managing digital channel and partners to drive sustained effective execution
  • Evaluating channel performance; working with partners to evolve or add services
  • Working with internal marketing stakeholders to shape marketing campaigns
