The Associate Director of Supply Chain Marketing will be responsible for developing, implementing and enhancing programs and contracting initiatives within the Pharmacy, Retail, and Distribution channels. The individual will foster teamwork across multiple stakeholders, marketing, retail sales executives, and supply chain field sales by collaborating with the Integrated Brand and Retail Teams - informing investment decisions and making recommendations supported with financial analyses. The role may support AbbVie's on market Eye Care, CNS, Botox and/or OTC portfolio and pipeline assets.

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Channel Planning and Implementation - effectively develops, communicates and implements the vision, strategy and tactics
• Distribution Plan - Determine appropriate distribution models and executes pharmacy, retail, and distribution contracts (including product discount, data, and services)
• Pharmacy Services - Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for pharmacy services aligned to brand objectives and provide key insights to inform brand strategy
• Retail Services - Assist in the tactical execution of retail sales and account level initiatives, support the OTC Franchise and individual retail accounts, and support merchandizing events that contribute strong business performance while collaborating closely with retail sales executives
• Pharmacy Marketing Materials - Lead the development and creation of high-impact promotional material that supports stakeholder needs and align with brand strategic objectives
• Pharmacy Enhancement of Brand Care Models - Identify, support and execute pharmacy services that are aligned with, and advance the capabilities of, the brand patient care programs
• Drive Results - Influence and educate the Supply Chain and Retail Sales Executives sales force to deliver impactful initiatives through their stakeholders and ensure pharmacy and retail contracts are performing and compliant
• Compliance - Ensures that regulatory and legal policies and guidance are followed
• Operations - Manages the P&L responsibilities for projects and promotional budgets. Creates the business case to secure budget from Brand and Retail Teams, and completes projects on time and on budget
• Cross-functional Collaboration - fosters strong working relationships with the Brand Marketing, Supply Chain Sales, Retail Sales Executives, Market Access Payer Marketing, Legal, Regulatory and Marketing Analytics teams, as well as external collaboration partners
• OTC Program Management
• Industry Expertise - Keeps up to date on current industry trends and anticipates future changes

Preferred locations for this position can be Irvine CA, Madison NJ and Lake County IL.


• Bachelor's Degree
• Pharmaceutical Marketing experience, including experience in program and/or product management/marketing
• Proven marketing experience
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to deliver on timelines required
• Positive, solutions-oriented attitude required
• Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills

• Market Access and contract negotiation experience
• Product knowledge in therapeutic areas of Eye Care, CNS and OTC
• Cross-functional experiences including field sales, finance, market analytics valued
• Knowledge of and/or relationships with Pharmacy as well as the Wholesale Distribution channel
• Advanced Degree
