In October 2019, Lundbeck acquired Alder Biopharmaceuticals, now known as Lundbeck Seattle BioPharmaceuticals (Lu-SBP). The Lu-SBP site is responsible for antibody development and biologics manufacturing in collaboration with the global Lundbeck CMC Biologics organization.

Working within the Cell Line Development team, utilizes the latest molecular biology, genetic engineering, and cell culture tools to develop proprietary cell lines to produce novel antibody therapeutics.

  • Design and engineer genetic vectors for mammalian expression
  • Generate, isolate, and sequence plasmid DNA and/or PCR products
  • Perform mammalian cell culture i.e. cell propagation, transfection, cloning, and cataloging.
  • Design and implement screens to query libraries of cell lines for specific traits of interest
  • Interpret, analyze and present data

  • Accredited bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in molecular biology techniques including DNA isolation, primer design, PCR, molecular cloning, homologous recombination, and DNA sequence analysis , OR a combination of education and experience totaling 6 years in molecular biology techniques including DNA isolation, primer design, PCR, molecular cloning, homologous recombination, and DNA sequence analysis
  • Mammalian cell-culture including sterile technique, transfections, cloning, and overall experimental design
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office software products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work effectively individually and as a part of a larger, diverse group

  • Accredited BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics or related discipline
  • Knowledge of specialized scientific software such as JMP, Squencher and DNA STAR

  • No travel is required
