The Indirect Procurement Sr Director, will be accountable for Procurement of indirect sourcing categories from all Grifols companies with a total spend of +400M₠, owning overall indirect purchasing strategy and roadmap for categories including: facility services (maintenance, security, etc.), uniforms & clothing, facility supplies, GE projects and services, equipment & spare parts, Dx R&D, HR services, marketing services, corporate communication, etc.

What your key responsibilities will be like:

  • Define and deploy a new indirect Procurement organization transforming from site-based Procurement management to global / regional / category management depending on each category strategy.
    • Leading, coordinating and managing Global indirect category managers team; planning work and prioritizing tasks.
    • Providing input to critical negotiations and decisions prepared by direct reports; acting as Global IM Category Manager for selected and critical global categories (as needed).
    • Managing indirect Procurement performance based on clearly defined financial and non-financial measurements.
  • Consolidate & manage all the Procurement operations of all the indirect sites of the different divisions.
    • Gaining control over all indirect buyers. Coordination of 12-14 sites based mainly in North America, Spain and Germany.
  • Transform procurement function to increase value generation for Grifols.
    • Gaining global spend visibility digitalizing Procurement operations.
    • Triggering improvement projects.
    • Leading the development of global Procurement policies.

  • You have a supply chain management degree, or logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field degree.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience working in global procurement management roles and 5 or more years' prior supervisor/managerial experience.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Your stronger skills are, among others, Strategic Industry Management, Negotiation, Relationship Management, Financial Acumen, Category & Risk Management.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Interacts with others, relates information to diverse groups.
