Specific Responsibilities

The role will be based in Shanghai and will be reporting to the Senior Legal Director of China.

Responsibilities will include (i) drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents and providing legal risk assessment and solution for the CSO project implementation; (ii) drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents to support new products and expanding business, including but not limited to procurement contract, event activities contract, etc.; (iii) timely attention to the fast evolving legislation and providing necessary update and expertise opinion to the team; (iv) providing advice on general corporate issues; (v) drafting policies and manuals pursuant to local law; (vi) providing recurring legal trainings to China employees; and (vii) other jobs as assigned by the line manager.

Essential Duties and Job Functions

Works collaboratively with other members of legal and business conduct departments as well as internal client business partners.

Sets appropriate priorities with client business partners and delivers results within the established timelines.

Develops solutions to solve complex problems.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Experience on drafting and negotiating a wide range of legal documents.

Mandarin Chinese and English proficiency required.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Detail-oriented and well-organized.

Team player who can handle shifting priorities, multi- tasking in a deadline oriented environment.

Motivated and willing to learn.

LLB degree from an internationally recognized university, LLM is preferred.

5+ years relevant law firm or in-house experience. Experience dealing with biotech or pharmaceutical issues or industry working experience is required.
