Position: New Product Planning Associate (Lead)

The Associate Lead, New Product Planning will become a key contributor to METiS Pharmaceuticals commercial planning and identification of early pipeline assets. The role will work in close partnership with the cross-functional development team to build development plans and align with METiS Pharmaceuticals priorities and strategic direction. The candidate will gain and leverage his or her deep understanding of the target markets, and therapeutic disease area dynamics, customers, and competition to support and inform the identification, development, and commercial strategy for early pipeline efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support the development of the early commercial strategy to identify and select new product candidates for preclinical and early clinical pipeline
  • Conduct market research, therapeutic area assessments, and analysis to inform product selection and development plans
  • Manage market research and lead KOL consultations and focus groups to ensure that key new product questions are addressed effectively and efficiently
  • Complete analysis and be resourceful to identify multiple sources to collect relevant information and clearly articulate implications to formulate supportable recommendations
  • Be proactive and capable of analyzing therapeutic area(s) and provide key insights to current and emerging standards of care, unmet medical need, and market access

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science and with relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate all clinical data/literature and market research findings to support commercial objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a nuanced understanding of target disease states and market dynamics to inform strategic development, commercialization choices
  • Understanding of the drug development process including strategic and commercialization requirements
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Entrepreneurially minded, resourceful, with a global market understanding and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong track record of project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize
