The Engineering Strategy Intern position reports to the Engineering Strategy lead and is responsible for supporting the development, execution, and maintenance of the Engineering Strategic roadmap for 2020 - 2023 and associated projects. Tasks would include:

• Support in developing visuals and reporting for new department capacity planning tool - what information does Engineering want to see? What information does our customer care about?

• Establishing best-practices for workload balancing and improvement of the Integrated Engineering Planning (IEP) process

• Participate in refining 2021-2024 strategic roadmaps and owning strategic effort for improving Engineering

• Communicate with Engineering department on Engineering strategies and enhancements to IEP process

  • Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
  • BS/BA student
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • School and/or work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferably Industrial Engineering or some form of Engineering Management/Business management degree, mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology or related programs.
  • Strong communication skills, knowledge of Metric building and statistical analysis; potential Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement skill sets, the ability to see the bigger picture.
