Novartis Gene Therapies is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented summer intern to support various HSE projects.

Responsibilities

HSE is integrating into Novartis organization. This will require significant analysis of current conditions and recommended improvements to strengthen overall programs including, but not limited to: incorporation of new HSE&BCM management system programs into site SOPs; Risk Portfolio program upgrades, support facility audit closure actions; employee training programs; ergonomic evaluations; hazard identification and risk assessments; hazard communication; creation and conveyance of HSE communications; incident investigations; vehicle & pedestrian safety programs, environmental impact assessments, environmental permit program management, and other health, safety and environmental related projects.

Qualifications

Current standing in an Undergraduate program. Data analysis, Health, Safety, Environmental or Business Continuity background/major. Strong Communication Skills. Detail-oriented, analytical, trend spotting, able to work independently and collaboratively, strong competencies with common computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and strong interpersonal skills.

The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
