SENIOR SCIENTIST - DRUG METABOLISM AND PHARMACOKINETICS

Position Summary:

As a senior scientist, a successful candidate will serve as DMPK project representative on cross-functional discovery and development project teams to drive target product profile milestone transitions from lead identification to regulatory submissions. The position will be responsible to characterize the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and PK-PD-efficacy (exposure-effect) relationship of drug candidates spanning from early discovery to clinical stage development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a DMPK project representative, design and execute DMPK strategies to support product advancement
  • Draft study protocols and coordinate execution of DMPK studies with multiple functional areas and CROs, work closely with project teams, line management and CROs to ensure high quality and timely delivery of results and reports
  • Perform DMPK data analysis and generate study reports for detailed pharmacokinetics characteristics assessment and human dose projection
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies within the field of DMPK, keep abreast of relevant literature and develop visibility outside of functional area
  • Assume responsibility for direct reports as needed, including recruiting, managing, mentoring and developing scientific staff

Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. degree with at least 2 years or a M.S. degree with at least 5 years of relevant DMPK experiences in Pharma/Biotech industry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, accountable, results and detailed-oriented, and thrive on working in a team-based environment are essential
  • In-depth understanding of ADME-PK principles and the application of ADME-PK information supporting early discovery, lead optimization and development of candidate selection
