I: Job Summary
The Supervisor, Document Control is responsible for performing duties related to the management of documents within Emergent BioSolutions in Baltimore. The supervisor is responsible for the management of electronic documents in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), statistics related to documents, paper records and personnel. The supervisor will interact with all departments to provide customer support and guidance necessary to maintain and improved management of documentation at the facility.

II: Responsibilities
Key responsibilities associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:
• Provides leadership, mentoring, and supervision to the Document Control team.
• Evaluate employees through performance reviews providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Supervise document issuance and maintenance.
• Manage periodic/biennial reviews.
• Manage on site and off site filing of documents (third party).
• EDMS level two user, technical expert able to assist direct reports and employees with system issues.
• Track, trend and report document review metrics on a monthly basis at the Quality Management Review (QMR).
• Manage batch record issuance and verification.
• Write, review and revise standard operating procedures as needed.
• Develops, justifies and implements process improvements.
• Works productively with cross functional teams within the organization.
• Provides support of client and regulatory audits.
• Serves as Camden point person for EDMS meetings, etc.

III: Education, Experience & Skills
• Degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of five years of related experience required; years of experience, depending on area of responsibility
• Supervisory experience
• Proficient knowledge of cGMP.
• Strong attention to details, organizational skills, self-starter
• Computer skills (MS Office, statistical software, Visio, MS Project)
• Strong technical and communication skills: oral/written and listening
• Ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
