Fate Therapeutics is seeking a motivated and highly organized individual to join a growing Translational Science team in support of the Company's iPSC derived immunotherapy clinical trials. The primary functions of this role will include receiving and accessioning human samples from patients in ongoing clinical trials, performing sample reconciliation, checking samples for suitability, and documenting the routing and storage of samples. The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, experience working in a team environment, and high attention to detail. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager of Translational Science and is located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities
• Support the Clinical Translation Lab personnel with sample receipt, accessioning, and
documentation.
• Receive, unpack, login, organize, label and distribute incoming clinical specimens. Perform
sample reconciliation and notify biomarker management of discrepancies.
• Check specimens for suitability before preparing them for test or distributing them for analysis,
and potentially assist in procedures such as centrifugation, serum separation, and cell counting.
• Label prepared specimens in accordance with the information provided in the initial file and
ensure that specimen storage is properly documented.
• Manage data entry tasks associated with entering patient specimen information in database
(FreezerWorks). Manage sample storage inventory and sort and file laboratory documents.
• Assist in managing reagent inventory for the translational laboratory.

Qualifications
• Bachelor or Associates degree preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience in clinical or biopharmaceutical setting preferred.
• Highly organized, detail oriented with excellent record keeping abilities, and strong problem-
solving skills.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry experience required.
• Familiarity with a GLP, GMP, or CLIA laboratory environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with FreezerWorks is a plus.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• Will require working with cells and cell lines of human and/or animal origin
• Occasional evening and Saturday work will be required
• 100% on-site work at corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA
