The Senior Specialist, Training Programs designs, builds, implements, and maintains all training program content and curriculum across all of AbbVie Endocrinology, Inc. In this role you will partner closely with compliance and operations leadership in identifying key learning opportunities to improve call center agent performance, quality, and compliance. This strategic learning leader will leverage best-in-class adult learning methods to improve our current training programs and build out new programs to meet emerging needs. This role will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of our training programs, beginning with onboarding new call center employees to remediating learning, quality, and compliance gaps in our existing workforce. This person will manage the design and development of innovative eLearning, instructor-led, and other learning solutions to simulate production experiences and drive improvement in training retention.
  • Manage complex, strategic cross-functional training projects to drive innovative learning programs focused on customer service, compliance, and best business practices. Identify and execute learning strategies to move our current training model from a traditional classroom-based experience to a more technology-driven learning experience.
  • Lead efforts to build innovative training courses, curriculum, and programs to drive improvement in overall agent performance
  • Demonstrate best-in-class adult learning methods, eLearning content development, and stakeholder management to improve existing training programs
  • Utilize innovative learning methods to demonstrate ROI (both in traditional training and operational metric improvement)
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Develop train-the-trainer programs to educate functional SMEs on effective facilitation and training design techniques
  • Leverage emerging technologies to support both on-site and remote workforce

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Instruction Design, Instructional Technology or related field is preferred. Degree in business or related field is acceptable when combined with relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years in relevant work experience is required; 1+ year of supervisory or project management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply adult learning principles.
  • Knowledge of complex technical issues and manufacturing experience in a biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical or similar environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and interacting with people at various levels of the organization is critical.
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills. Must be able to work independently under minimal supervision.
