The Senior Manager, Artwork, is responsible for managing and optimizing domestic and international artwork preparation and production processes. This role can be based in Libertyville, IL or Durham, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Artwork Development, Artwork Management, Artwork Systems Management, Vendor Management, and some aspects of printed packaging design.
  • Manages interactions with internal stakeholders and with external partners and suppliers.
  • Develops and manages global Artwork Management processes and systems in conjunction with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and Suppliers.
  • Develops, reviews and approves Packaging Artwork in conjunction with Marketing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Suppliers.
  • Partners with Packaging Technology efforts involved in the creation, management and control of printed product packaging items, specifically: vial labels, bottle labels, product information leaflets and printed cartons.
  • Monitors and approves graphics and printed commodity supplier invoices against purchase orders.
  • Drives regular artwork and packaging development meetings with CMOs and suppliers (weekly meetings and business review meetings).
  • Participates in and provide information for weekly Supply Chain functional meetings.
  • Participation in cross-functional teams as required.
  • Drive or support, as needed, the improvement of artwork management practices and procedures.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design or related area with 8 years of labeling and artwork experience in the bio/pharmaceutical industry or 12 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in managing international artwork functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Artwork Management systems and Packaging Development processes.
  • Experience with managing requirements for regulated product labelling.
  • Outstanding supply chain planning, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Highly efficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications. Familiar with Adobe and Artwork software
  • Compliance mind-set and robust understanding of cGMP environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a small team.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of external stakeholders.
  • Must be willing to take on additional supply chain activities when required.
  • While entrepreneurial, ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity, represent the company's high ethics, moral behavior, and professionalism.
  • Experience with Digital Asset and Content Management.
  • Experience in implementing new artwork management systems and processes preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of Print Production processes preferred.


The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
