Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Statistical Programmer to join the Kite Translational Programming group. This is a fast-paced, dynamic team, and the individual in this position will play a pivotal role in the development of new therapies.

Essential job functions:
  • Participate in all programming aspects within a clinical study or indication, including generation of standard and derived datasets, programming documentation, and tables, figures, and listings (TFLs) for all analyses.
  • Support programming activities and publications for translational research, data documentation and archival, and interaction with regulatory authorities regarding filing structure and data content.
  • Collaborate with CDM (Clinical Data Management) with the review of PK/PD, Biomarker data transfers and perform data/edit checks.
  • Provide programming support in the development of complex analysis datasets, specifications, and summary output (tables, data listings, and graphs) for inclusion in clinical reports or presentations in collaboration with designated statistician.
  • Oversees CRO and contractors for general programming activities including regulatory filings.
  • Creates standards, tools, and processes that improve the efficiency of producing analyses across studies.
  • Perform complex analysis in response to data requests in partnership with designated statistician and transitional Scientist for exploratory data analysis, publications, and Conference posters.
  • Additionally, you will provide technical consultancy to other project teams within research and development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and quality.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of programming experience in processing clinical trial data in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or health related industry === OR ===
  • MS/MA in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of clinical trial experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
  • Proven expertise in SAS and Windows operating systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAS Certification desirable
  • Experience with PK/PD, Biomarker, or strong programming experience handling Oncology data
  • R programming experience is a plus
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills.
  • Full understanding and knowledge relevant to statistical programming.
  • Knowledge of clinical development and regulatory filing is required. Oncology experience is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to influence change.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and manage small teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on projects.
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
