The Information Systems (IS) Engineer plays a meaningful role in building and maintaining strong partnership with the business by ensuring systems reliability, maintenance and lifecycle management. As an IS Engineer in the Information Systems Team, you will work as the technical subject-matter-expert for manufacturing applications, business/laboratory/standalone systems at the site. As a member of a team of engineers and analysts, you will use the business analysis tools, computerized systems knowledge and engineering principles to implement technology solutions to support the business processes in a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Perform assignments that have clear and specific objectives and require investigation of limited number of variables. Initiate and complete routine technical tasks.
  • Work with consultants, architects and engineering firms on development of standard design documents.
  • Support non-standard shift organization and extended hours.
  • Deliver technical oversight to application delivery for the business.
  • Ensure that systems are implemented and maintained in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and follows the IS Project Management Lifecycle Methodology.
  • Coordination of business process and system issues across multiple departments, functions and locations.
  • Participate in technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, business case development and troubleshooting on computerized systems.
  • Analyze problems, develop and propose technical solutions in a scientific manner using data-driven techniques and analyses.
  • Work schedule flexibility to support 24/7 operations, occasional after-hours coverage.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Engineering, Information Systems, or related technology field experience
  • OR
  • Associate's degree and 6 years of Engineering, Information Systems, or related technology field experience
  • OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Engineering, Information Systems, or related technology field experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education background in Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience with operations/manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding cGMP requirements
  • Experience in the analysis of data generated from a variety of analytical techniques
  • Effective oral and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Direct experience with regulated environments (e.g. cGMP, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with computerized systems including troubleshooting, reliability and performance improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively set priorities.
  • Sound understanding of basic engineering principles and ability to apply them to resolve process issues.
  • Strong computer skills and possess the ability to apply science-based thinking to practical applications.
  • Energetic and technically-minded individual.
