The Scientist II, assay development is responsible for providing strong scientific, technical and organizational support to drive mechanism-of-action research in the field of oncology novel target discovery.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Establishment, validation and execution of biochemistry- and cell-based assays for novel target discovery programs.
  • Provide strong scientific evidence to establish and implement strategy for understanding of the mechanism of actions.
  • Managing preclinical and early clinical research to support the Oncology Research pipeline projects at AbbVie.
  • Establish collaborations with CROs.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience on general molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as PCR, cell culture, FACS, ELISA, and Western Blot. CRISPR experience is a plus but not required.
  • Industry experience in cancer and (or) immune-oncology drug discovery and development is highly desired.
  • Track record of successful research experience in graduate and (or) post-graduate studies.

Education Requirements (degree, certifications, etc.):
  • Master degree or bachelor degree with 3+ years of academic or industrial research experience.
