You'll support our talent priority of attracting & acquiring the strongest talent, enabling us to make a remarkable impact on people's lives. You'll provide leadership and strategic input to define, operationalize, and manage AbbVie's university relations intake for several functional areas. You'll manage and inspire a team to deepen partnerships and leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions all while acting as a strategic partner to the business, Business Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and Early Career Program Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • In partnership with the leader of University Relations, design and deliver the University Relations strategy for AbbVie
  • Partner closely with business and HR partners to understand intern and early career talent forecasts and deliver to plan; Inspire and lead University Relations team members; together, deliver best-in-class recruiting practices and internship programs, producing qualified and diverse talent pools for internship and full-time Early Career Rotational Program opportunities
  • Design and deliver a University Relations analytics dashboard in partnership with AbbVie's analytics team with a focus on measures of success and ROI; Utilize data to inform decision-making and advise on university recruitment talent strategies
  • Drive the use of technology to streamline processes and create efficiencies
  • Develop and deliver integrated attraction & engagement sourcing and selection strategies across functional business groups
  • Cultivate deep relationships with university staff and student organizations, enhancing AbbVie's employment brand with targeted universities and organizations
  • Manage candidates through full lifecycle recruitment of key internship and full-time roles, including participating in recruitment events, conducting interviews, managing candidate communications, documenting candidate progress in appropriate systems, extending offers and other recruitment-related processes
  • Develop and optimize peer relationships within the university recruitment space; compile and communicate university recruiting knowledge, industry overviews, best practices and market trends to team members and key stakeholders
  • Establish a strategic business partnership internally with Early Career Program Managers, Business Human Resources, Talent Management and Talent Acquisition on university relations related activities

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 3 years of experience within University Relations or Early Careers recruiting
  • Experience as an inspirational and inclusive people manager
  • Experience leading and managing best-in-class internship programs
  • Travel as needed 10-25% of the time
  • Analytical and data-driven to inform strategies
  • Strong relationship & stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Experience in project & conference management
