Summary: Responsible for developing the vision and strategic plan of moving Regeneron product world-wide. This position will be responsible for developing a cross-trained Logistics team, building robust processes capable of absorbing significant volume increases and enhancing Logistic related communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manages team responsible for the movement of product throughout the domestic and international supply chain utilizing Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers.
• Supports all new product launches ensuring the successful movement of inventory from contract manufacturing operations to finished good distribution centers.
• Responsible for implementing a trade compliance program which allows for identifying and mitigating risks. Audits Regeneron's transportation compliance.
• Responsible for researching all applicable regulations to import and export operations applicable to the pharmaceutical sector and advises business of trade regulatory changes.
• Responsible for developing a Logistics succession plan to ensure business and personnel success. Develops personnel by educating, inspiring and leading by example.
• Responsible for developing Logistics business continuity plans.
• Department subject matter expert on Shipping validation lanes and equipment.
• Responsible for identifying Warehouse & Logistics continuous improvement opportunities and leading projects to eliminate non-value-added waste and drive improved performance.
• Develops and monitors daily/weekly/monthly key performance indicators for shipping and trade compliance activities such as entry filings, post entry amendments, reconciliations, etc.
• Act as business liaison for Customs Border Patrol, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and United States Department of Agriculture including issue resolutions.
• Manage all Carrier Master Service Agreements and Quality Assurance Agreements.
• 15% travel required.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in related field required with 7+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience building teams, creating synergies within the business and championing a transparent environment.
• Customs brokerage experience or trade compliance practices with exporter/importer required, preferably in chemical and/or FDA regulated industry.
• Understands Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Experience in a GMP regulated organization preferred.
• Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) experience.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and software applications such as QUMAS or similar.
• Strategic problem-solving skills that incorporate creative solutions to complex problems.
