We are seeking a versatile computational scientist to support clinical and research programs in the metabolic disease space. Taking a lead role in these studies, the successful candidate will communicate effectively with researchers and clinicians, and develop methods to interpret diverse data types.

What will you be doing:
  • Collaborate with scientists in the Metabolism and Muscle group, other Regeneron functional areas, and with external collaborators.
  • Analyze multiomic, clinical, and genetic data from patient cohorts to make a positive difference.
  • Develop statistically robust tools for analyzing diverse data sets, from both established modalities and from technologies, e.g. spatial transcriptomics.
  • Provide scientific direction, technical expertise and coordinating activities with other groups at Regeneron.
  • Present data results to colleagues, senior management and collaborators.
  • Disseminate results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Introduce novel research questions to drive our research forward.

  • Demonstrated achievement in computational biology.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, python, bash.
  • Experience in analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, metabolomics, and proteomics data.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the art bioinformatics tools and approaches to support drug discovery programs.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects.
  • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team encompassing both scientific and strategic perspectives.

Preferred job requirements:
  • PhD degree in bioinformatics, physics, computer science, or a quantitative field and 1+ years relevant experience
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms
  • Knowledge of metabolic or muscle disorders
  • Knowledge and experience in genetics and biostatistics
