Job Description

A motivated self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills who can ensure data integrity and track/analyze data trends and inquiries. Individual will manage the delivery and communication of all sales force reporting needs, be a key contact to the sales force for all data inquiries and act as liaison for data receipt and delivery with all Data Vendors as well as contract negotiation. Individual must understand data management and work to improve report implementation and production. Individual will support internal analysts, manager and director in department projects within a cross functional team. Ability to synthesize direction from multiple streams including Sales Administration, Product Management, Finance, HR, and Sales Management. Must work with little direction to ensure accurate report production and detailed data analysis for both internal and field force customer groups.

  • Manage all Sales Reporting data needs for both the sales force and internal teams
  • Work with Data Vendors on all data related questions- Including pricings, data issues, new product add, and new report deliveries.
  • Provide Sales Support Regarding Prescription Data for Field Sales for all Sales Administration Reports and Processes.
  • Work closely with Business Analytics and Incentive Compensation teams to ensure all data reporting needs for field and marketing are met.
  • Manage the zip and bag re-alignment of sales teams
  • Provide analytical and maintenance support for data/reports.
  • Communicate all work effectively to Sales, Product, and Executive Management teams.
  • Ensure Quality/Integrity of Sales Data Sources used in Department.
  • Coordinate report production with Sales Admin and IT involving report design, usage, validation and field distribution and outside vendors. Strong understanding of sales force needs and reporting system to ensure business needs are being met effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead validation metrics with outside consultant group to ensure field reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Analyze Sales/Market Trends for Internal Management and Field Sales.
  • Track Sales Performance and Rep Productivity - (Effort vs. Outcome)
  • Provide Ad Hoc requests from Marketing and Sales Management.
  • Fully comprehend all datasets - NGPS - wkly/mnthly, DDD
  • Generate Internal/Field Sales Reports from various data feeds.
  • Support Compensation Group in Incentive Analyses.
  • Strong understanding of report processing, data validation/integrity for pharmaceutical sales data. Able to foresee, identify and solve data and reporting issues.
  • Perform validation processes and provide data feeds to internal teams.
  • Proactively validate and analyze data and sales trends from national and geographic perspective.
  • Train and support Sales Reporting team from data and reporting perspective.
  • Continuously track and improve report SOP's and validation processes.
  • Possess all necessary data and report knowledge to educate field force on data and report related issues/questions. Provide on-going support for field inquiries and ad hoc data requests.
  • Support all ad hoc analysis/reporting requirements of Sales Administration team


Education: Bachelor's Degree. Masters/MBA is a plus

Experience: 8 to 10 Years Analytical experience in Pharmaceutical Operations/Administration, Market Research, or related consultancy. Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and PC skills in Excel and Access. SAS experience is a plus
