Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our Summer Internship Program! As an intern at Kite, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn about cell therapy from some of the brightest minds in biotech while making a meaningful impact. The Role

The intern will have the opportunity to support in the implementation of global disease programs, global asset strategic and tactical plans, and competitive intelligence activities. You will work with the CAR T franchise, YESCARTA, and TECARTUS global marketing teams and competitive intelligence team and have the opportunity to interact with global cross-functional and agency partners.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Planning, coordination, and program implementation of activities to support upcoming launches
  • Support the global marketing digital expansion efforts
  • Coordinate various aspects of key global conferences
  • Assemble and assess competitive landscapes from competitive intelligence (CI) databases that consider both cell therapy and out-of-class competitors and likelihood of success
  • Create competitor backgrounders and TPPs for key competitors based on clinical and commercial drug profile
  • Develop compliant process for sharing of field intel; consolidate and analyze findings to share with senior partners
  • Consolidate internal competitive intelligence through internal partner interviews and external primary research for hypothesis validation
  • Support the annual brand planning process by providing an evaluation of current market dynamics, product performance, customers, and competitors

 


Basic Qualifications:

 

 

  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be currently enrolledin a full time Graduate Degree program at an accredited university/college
  • Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing
  • Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between June and September
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Kite sponsorship
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

 


Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • In the process of completing the first year of a Master in Business Administration (MBA), or Master's program with emphasis in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity or experience with marketing operations and functions in the pharma and life sciences industry or a similarly regulated sector
  • Experience working cross-functionally and empathizing with team members outside of one's org structure
  • Operational experience with basic marketing skills and deliverables - primary research insight generation, messaging and storyboarding, value chain and partner definition
  • Familiarity in articulating heavily scientific or clinical data points into compelling message points for target customers
  • Experience working with global clients (e.g. APAC, LATAM) and deploying platforms to international customers or global settings
  • Experience working in immune-oncology, cell therapy, or CAR-T sectors
