Who You Are

The VP of Marketing will report to the Chief Commercial Officer of BridgeBio Pharma and be based in San Francisco. This individual will build company brands for rare and orphan indications in cardiology and specialty market segments through traditional best practices and the development/implementation of innovative marketing methods. The VP of Marketing will lead all marketing activities and programs across the company's business to ensure superior performance by a) leading teams that develop and execute long and short term strategic plans, b) managing the company's marketing partnerships, and c) directing pre-launch planning that guarantees full acceptance of the new product. Collaborates across all departments to ensure achievement of strategic corporate goals.

The Vice President of Marketing is one of the highest visibility positions within the US organization. It is highly collaborative and interacts with similar high-level individuals across all functional areas within the organization.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute marketing launch plans in the US
  • Drive all marketing strategies and plans, including brand positioning, to realize maximum product success in the U.S.
  • Leads the marketing department efficiently by creating and communicating a compelling vision and executes through delegation and willingness to "roll up sleeves" to accomplish what is needed
  • Leads with vision, integrity, creativity, and flexibility
  • Builds strong, credible, collaborative relationships with key functional groups that include Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory and Sales Training
  • Drives for timely, cost-effective execution in all tactical activities, including product launches, product promotion, and communications
  • Develop and implement key marketing initiatives such as disease state education, promotional messaging, non-personal promotion, and patient education
  • Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and compliance stakeholders to ensure compliant development and execution of marketing initiatives
  • Cultivate relationships with advocacy leaders in the space
  • Partner with U.S. Sales leadership to implement commercial tactics and monitor their effectiveness
  • Act as the primary point of contact in managing agency and external vendor relationships
  • Manage U.S. launch product commercial budget


Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA degree, advanced degree, or continued education in business - preferred
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco area when safe to do so
  • A minimum of 15 years of pharmaceutical industry marketing or related experience
  • Must have at least 5 years' experience as a senior marketing leader in Cardiology/Rare Disease
  • Prior experience in and collaboration with sales, sales management, and/or managed care is essential
  • Superior leadership skills that lead to the development of a highly functioning marketing organization through motivation and development of personnel
  • Experience in collaborating with industry opinion leaders and advocacy leaders
  • Experience in managing external agencies and vendors and managing promotional budgets
  • A deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market dynamics and stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to maneuver within a dynamic, changing environment
  • Ability to integrate input from key stakeholders and take a long term view of brand strategies
  • Product launch experience while in a lead marketing role - preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30 - 50%)
