This exciting opportunity is for a highly motivated and independent thinker to join a growing group of investigators developing novel small molecule therapeutics in Oncology.

The successful candidate will be a results-driven scientist with extensive experience in vivo pharmacology and a keen understanding of the drug discovery process. They will work in partnership with experienced drug hunters, external CROs, and academic collaborators to deliver IND-ready candidates for clinical testing. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and growing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead in vivo Pharmacology efforts for BridgeBio Oncology programs: target validation, IND-enabling studies, and clinical development/publications support
  • Design and execute in vivo pharmacology studies to support molecule advancement
  • Build PK/PD/Efficacy relationships
  • Propose and formulate a hypothesis for novel applications of selected candidate molecules
  • Manage interactions with team leaders to support molecule advancement
  • Develop, implement, and deliver on team collaborations: including initial proposal development, planning timelines and resources, monitoring milestones and final deliverables
  • Manage CROs to deliver high-quality data in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with academic researchers to develop and test mechanistic hypotheses
  • Work with KOLs to understand unmet clinical needs

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Ph.D., or MD/Ph.D. degree in any area of biological science, with experience in Oncology drug development and translational sciences
  • Accomplished Scientist as evidence by publication record with at least 8 years of drug development experience in an industry setting
  • Experience managing diverse and multiple CROs
  • Experience managing Scientist and Research Associate level personnel
  • Small molecule experience in the xenograft, syngeneic, and PDX models
  • Knowledge of cell signaling pathways as well as immunoncology
  • Experience writing pharmacology section of IND a plus
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Experience engaging with KOLs to deliver data
  • Passionate about finding ways to cure rare diseases
  • Ability to work in a small company with a largely virtual environment
  • Ability to manage complexity and uncertainty
  • Strong team interaction and communication skills
