Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our Summer Internship Program! As an intern at Kite, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn about cell therapy from some of the brightest minds in biotech while making a meaningful impact. The Role

The individual in this intern position willbe responsible to install, qualify and startup various equipment in the non-GMP Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) lab including Module1, Control Rate Freezer (CRF), Cell Counter, Incubator. The individual is also responsible to draft protocols, SOPs and prepare training material under the guidance and mentorship of Kite's T-Cell Factory 5 MSAT team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work with vendor to coordinate and execute vendor IOQ
  • Draft/review/approve equipment IOQ protocols
  • Execute Kite IOQ protocols and resolve exceptions conditions
  • Draft/review/approve equipment SOPs
  • Prepare training material as needed
  • Coordinate with training needs among groups


Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be currently enrolledin a full time Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited university/college
  • Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing
  • Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between June and September
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Kite sponsorship
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree concentration(s) in Engineering or Science
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical writer, effective speaker, and proficient with various computer software
  • Knowledge of procedures for laboratory instrumentation and instrument qualification
  • Experience in handling non GMPA lab instruments such including Module1, Control Rate Freezer (CRF), Cell Counter, Incubator
