Job Summary:

The QA Solutions Architect's primary responsibility is to design testing framework and protocols for various business and technology application platforms. These frameworks and design automation processes are created based on contextual understanding of business requirements, tools and technology, and by applying soft skills such as effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders. The incumbent is responsible for understanding architectural and functional design of the application platforms and implementing test strategies, automation frameworks and associated testing standards. The resource collaborates closely with solution architects, business partners, vendors, developers, SAP and QA staff to ensure that applications are tested in a manner that is aligned with Daiichi Sankyo Inc's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies. This position also requires minimizing segregation of duties (SOD) risks and streamline/monitor SAP GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) Security protocols.

Responsibilities:

Analyze cross-functional business requirements for various technology solutions and provide final approval on all system change requests.

Design and build system related documents and enforce all Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes as per standards defined by the organization for system changes and drive external vendor teams and internal technical development teams to ensure accurate code review that matches the agreed upon requirements.

Create effective test strategies for large-scale cloud-based products, enterprise application landscape with heterogeneous technical environments (ERP, Web platforms, Mobile apps, etc..) as well as effective test architecture design which aligns to business strategy.

Designs and develops the test automation framework and code libraries to enable the team to both use and enhance them across successive projects.

Develops the automation strategy/effort and generates test scripts to perform automated testing using Selenium, or similar tools. Develops scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets, and other programmatic test tools required for test automation.

Plan and execute SAP GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance), security audits of SAP environments, documentation creation and report generation to support JSOX GRC Year-end activities. Participate to security and controls activities planned throughout the year, including control checks and documentation for internal / external audit.

Collaborate with internal SAP security, audit teams, and business stakeholders to ensure proper controls are in place for SAP roles and authorizations and that ongoing governance is in place. Perform security validation in the production environment to minimize segregation of duty risks and streamline GRC processes.

Monitor and enforce the quality of solution delivery and SDLC process compliance across multiple commercial pharmaceutical teams. Formulate and execute efficient test architecture for our cloud, mobile and on-premise technology platforms.

Day-to-day focus on resolution of complex problems related to development of test strategies for various critical projects where expertise is required to interpret against architecture, design, guidelines, and business processes.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. Master's Degree in Computer Science or systems applications or information systems preferred.
  • 5 to 7+ years of hands on experience working on cross functional applications with focused experience in software architecture.
  • 5 to 7+ years hands-on experience in developing automation tools, framework, continuous integration and build automation systems using variety of industry standard tools such as HP UFT, HP ALM, JIRA, HP Loadrunner, Selenium, Test Suite, TOSCA, SAP Component Based Automation, SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization and SAP Solution Manager.
  • 5 to 7+ years of software development experience in Java and/or Python.
  • 2 to 3+ years hands-on experience working with SAP GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance).
  • Application knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, Java and Web & Cloud based applications in a pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in designing and building automation frameworks and tools including but not limited to Java, Selenium Web Driver, TestNG, Junit, Jenkins, Cucumber, Maven or similar tools.
  • Extensive experience in GxP validated environments based on various FDA standards 21 CFR Part 11 & relevant SOP's.
  • Working knowledge of GRC principles to streamline end to end SAP security processes to reduce human error and improve audit process.
  • Experience in building Continuous Testing Strategy as part of DevOps CI/CD framework (Jenkins, GIT Hub, MF Octan, Selenium, Cucumber)
  • Strong understanding of Databases, Data Analytics, and Cloud-based tools
  • Experience testing identity management or security software, Active Directory, O365 or MS Apps integration and other industry leading application integration is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Cloud Migration from testing and support perspective.
  • Must be fluent in a variety of emerging technology platforms (AI, Data Analytics, Digital, RPA, etc.) and be conversant with the relevant architecture and moving parts when approaching projects and integrations.
  • Deep understanding and experience with APIs End-to-End Testing and Architecture.
  • Collaborative experience working closely with an agile team, developers, testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive experience with most or all the following types of testing: functional, creative, responsive web design, mobile, automation, security, accessibility, performance, load and API testing.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, and ITIL-V3 Certifications preferred.
