What You Will Achieve

As a valued member of the Rocky Mount Site Leadership Team, you will lead the Pfizer Rocky Mount Filling Operations manufacturing team in a cGMP compliant environment, reporting directly to the Site Leader. You will ensure that manufacturing methods and environment will meet contemporary industrial, regulatory, and Pfizer standards.

As Filling Operations Leader, you will work with your department leaders to ensure that departments are properly staffed to meet production requirements, to create and monitor budgets, to monitor and control production variances, and to ensure a safe working environment. You will be expected to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness and achieve balanced scorecard metrics.

You will interact effectively with the site's Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Validation, Engineering, Technology Services, Supply Chain, and Regulatory departments in order ensure that regulatory standards, company policies and site processes are met.

You will contribute to the team's success cultivating and reinforcing Pfizer's values and behaviors, encouraging diversity and inclusion, and providing oversight to individuals and teams on professional development, performance, and quality related issues.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Direct the manufacturing team of all Filling Operations within the Rocky Mount site, in alignment with our production system (IMEx) principles.
  • Create clear and strong interdependencies among internal customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain robust collaborations with other department leader to ensure optimum product flow and share mutual accountability for 100% customer service.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement including, operational systems, processes and policies.
  • Implement Pfizer production system (IMEx) based on site accelerated plan.
  • Responsible for effective Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 IMEX governance integration.
  • Ensure that manufacturing departments are cGMP compliant and are staffed to meet production requirements.
  • Create/monitor and control department's budgets.
  • Monitor, report and adjust accordingly to production variance reports.
  • Ensure a safe manufacturing environment is in place.
  • Ensure that colleague training programs are suitable and effective to support cGMP requirements.
  • Drive resolution of process deviations by enforcing Operational Excellence methodologies, effective determination of root causes and effective deployment of CAPAs that addresses root cause of such deviations.
  • Instill a Q uality Compliance, Supply Reliability and Business (Financial) Performance culture.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent discipline required.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in a cGMP environment, with 10+ years in an aseptic drug product manufacturing environment required.
  • 5+ years of experience leading direct reports required.
  • Strong analytical, presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Profound experience in Sterile Injectable (SI) manufacturing platforms, including Terminal Sterilization, Aseptic Fill, RABS, Isolators, etc.
  • Related experience in drug product inspection, labeling and packaging of SI products.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated innovation and continuous improvement of work processes and deliverables
  • Proven track record of delivering results consistently while being a role model for the Pfizer Leader Behaviors.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory agency standards and requirements applicable to a pharmaceutical production facility.
