OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Sales, High-Throughput COVID Diagnostics is responsible for the sales activities for Mammoth's CLIA-based high throughput molecular diagnostic assay products. Key activities for the position include building and leading a technical sales team to serve the US COVID testing market, qualify potential customers, and work closely with the technical and marketing teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Rapidly build, train, and manage a new team of technical salespeople who will operate successfully in a regulated environment
    • Assess the regional opportunities, and adjust headcount and organizational structure to meet changing market and demand
    • Think holistically about the business and closely monitor performance against key metrics taking into account of the short and long term opportunity
    • Cultivate a culture of a customer-first approach on the sales team
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and provide feedback on marketing and sales materials for our new products
    • Selling molecular diagnostic assays on a high-throughput automated liquid handling system and partnering with automation vendors


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 10+ years of diagnostic commercial experience, with robust experience building and leading successful sales teams through the launch
    • Experience selling within the molecular in vitro diagnostics (IVD) market with strong knowledge of current marketed products and competition
    • Must be willing to travel in the US 30% of the time.
    • Experience launching a sales function in a fast-paced startup environment
    • Experienced in launching and selling novel and innovative products into new and existing IVD markets


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience in molecular diagnostics assay sales to CLIA laboratories preferred
    • Strong list of contact in the molecular diagnostics testing facilities from around the country
    • Demonstrated track record of exceeding plan in a challenging environment
