The SMMA is a scientific expert internally, acting as the Medical Affairs liaison between relevant teams, including clinical, commercial, sales and marketing, with the purpose of coordinating and implementing bespoke projects in line with the relevant specifications.

You will provide medical and scientific input throughout late phase clinical development and into commercialization for all related products in your area of expertise. 

You will also collaborate in defining the clinical and communications strategies.

•    Working closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs and the Business Unit team to support in the execution of the medical strategy
•    Involved with cross-departmental projects, including CT development, conference/congress planning, ad boards, publication planning, MSL support and review of standard responses for medical information
•    Production and management of relevant medical/scientific content, including publications, medical decks, abstracts, posters, speaker programs, ad boards and educational programs
•    Medical and strategic review of all deliverables produced by vendor agencies
•    Form and develop relationships with KOLs and influencers to increase knowledge relating to customer needs, trends and opportunities for clinical trials and business development

•    Higher level scientific degree (PhD, PharmD or MD) is preferred
•    Strong experience within a pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO company, with good experience in relevant medical affairs activities
•    Experience in dermatology or immunology is strongly preferred
•    A strong communicator, able to deliver a clear and concise message in a scientific context
•    Able to form and develop relationships with key contacts internally and externally
•    Experience in setting and execution of strategy
•    Able to strategically guide publication-related activities in-line with relevant industry guidelines
•    Able to  travel (domestically) up to 35%
