MyoKardia is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pioneering a precision medicine approach to discover, develop and commercialize targeted therapies for the treatment of serious and rare cardiovascular diseases. MyoKardia's most advanced product candidate is mavacamten, a novel, oral, allosteric modulator of cardiac myosin that is a first in class treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Mavacamten is in a pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial in patients with symptomatic, obstructive HCM. MyoKardia is seeking to hire an experienced marketing manager to develop and manage our professional speaker bureau. The Sr. Marketing Manager, HCP Educational Programming will be responsible for leading the development and execution of HCP promotional peer-to-peer education. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing a speaker bureau agency, developing relationships with HCPs and field sales. This individual will partner with team members from Marketing, Commercial Insights and Analytics, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Sales, Legal and Compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage effective relationship with speaker bureau agency partner to ensure high-quality, compliant educational programs and a seamless experience for faculty and attendees
  • Develop and execute annual promotional education strategy and tactics to support therapy awareness and adoption
  • Help identify potential HCP speakers and build relationships with speakers to ensure a positive experience working with MyoKardia
  • Manage the development and approval of all materials through the promotional review committee process
  • Establish an effective working relationship with field sales and support relevant training efforts
  • Regularly evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of the educational programming and evolve the program accordingly
  • Effectively manage to timelines and budget
  • Ensure all programs are compliant with relevant laws, regulatory requirements and company policies governing interactions with healthcare providers
  • Assist as needed with key projects across the marketing mix

Education, Experience and Capabilities
  • 5-8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medtech sales, medical education and/or marketing experience, preferably with experience in cardiovascular disease
  • Agency management experience required
  • Track record of success building relationships with physicians and field sales
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator
  • Experience in developing new markets and launching new products a plus
  • Works well within a dynamic environment with ability to quickly make an impact
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with physician customers
  • Strong scientific/medical aptitude is desirable, including ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Candidates must have a BA or BS degree
