Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics, Data Stewardship works cross-functionally to provide and manage an enterprise wide catalog of all data assets, sourcing and procuring new assets as needed. The Data Steward provides coaching and guidance on application of individual or integrated data sets to provide value to commercial and brand teams, but also to R&D, Medical Affairs, Trade, etc.


  • Catalogs and provides ownership of all data assets currently utilized across the organization, not solely with Commercial Operations
  • Understands fully the sources of each data asset, the frequency and delivery mechanisms, coverage rates, as well as all of the nuances and caveats inherent to each data asset
  • Utilizes this expertise and serves as a consultant to the organization, educating and guiding departments or teams on what data sources are best suited for what business needs
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the data vendor market, strengths and weaknesses of existing vendors, while uncovering, vetting, and procuring new ones as necessary
  • Collaborates with business to proactively understand when new data assets are needed
  • Partners with the Procurement department in RFP processes to procure new data assets
  • Liaisons with data and data science team for proper data onboarding and transformation into data warehouses


Qualifications and Skills Required:



  • BA/BS required
  • 5-7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, including experience in Analytics, Market Research and/or Sales Analytics
  • Demonstrated successful cross-functional collaboration and leadership
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in understanding data, data nuances, and application of data to pharmaceutical business needs
  • Knowledgeable of the key data vendors and standard and non-standard data assets in pharmaceutical space
  • High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, proactive demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal skills
