As a member of the Talent Leadership Team, the incumbent will drive strategy development and implementation for the Talent organization and lead operations and communications for Talent Management including cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities
  • As a member of the Talent Leadership Team, assist the VP of Talent with the strategic plan and priorities for the year including planning and implementation of the enterprise Talent Strategy
  • Drive improved talent outcomes year over year; process implementation for Performance Management and Talent Reviews; train BHR on practice, process and tools. Support BHR and leaders to implement the processes consistently. Ensure Talent Management team consistency aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Provide consultation on all aspects of talent management such as goal setting, feedback, talent assessments, succession planning, development planning and year-end.
  • Work with Talent Management to ensure priorities and initiatives including talent practices, processes and systems are aligned to support the overall Talent Strategy.
  • Partner with HR Communications to ensure Talent Strategy uptake among leaders across AbbVie in support of improving talent outcomes.
  • Participate as a member of the Talent Management Team including regular meetings and updates to ensure consistency in execution of talent practices.

OPERATIONS
  • Ensure implementation and high standards for enterprise talent practices through:
  • Ensuring systems and tools quality and availability including Talent Management Tools for talent reviews and performance management; Talent assessments, Succession Planning, Performance Assessments and associated reports.
  • Training for HR Connect Service Center in support of Talent processes, systems and resources. Serve as escalation contact.
  • Determining the annual talent calendar including partnering with total reward to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Coordinating with HR partners on the timing and implementation of key talent practices like talent reviews leading up to the CEO Talent Reviews.
  • Ensuring consistency in process and materials for enterprise talent practices
  • Approving and managing security access for talent data
  • Serving as the point of contact for all Talent Management system, process or resource changes
  • Track and report on metrics associated with talent practices across performance management and talent reviews to uphold enterprise standards

COMMUNICATIONS
  • Write and post HR Connect, HR Hub & SharePoint site updates for HR and Employees
  • Partner with the HR Comms on talent communications to HR, leaders and employees
