Development Supply Chain (DSC) within Manufacturing and Clinical Supply is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Amgen's clinical products, including planning, procurement, scheduling & capacity management, warehousing and worldwide distribution. Additionally, DSC teams are accountable for product set up, business process management and technology solutions to configure new products into the company's clinical supply chain. As an integral part of Amgen's Process Development organization, DSC provides an innovation ecosystem for supply chain professionals. DSC supports differentiating, multi-modality manufacturing and enables the set up and ongoing support of innovative and biosimilar products in our clinical trials!

DSC is seeking a Supply Chain Manager who would be focusing on Business Analytics. Successful candidate who will develope, pilot and industrialize technology tools. You will use quantitative and Supply Chain expertise to drive automation and continuous improvement, and embed digital ways of working in DSC. The role will provide analytical support and enabling data-driven decision making that will build foundational capability to provide end-to-end visibility into business processes and build advanced analytics solutions to drive value. In addition, this role will interact with a wide range of business leaders to understand processes, analyze data, and present findings.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensures innovative Digital Supply Chain pilots are successfully launched and scaled
  • Use data analytics tools, optimization models and scientific rigor to produce actionable insights
  • Creates and maintains product Business Case, requirements and roadmap
  • Creates and maintains prioritized requirement's backlog while seeking input on features and priorities
  • Synthesizes input into prioritized feature list and creates User Stories (requirements) for each feature
  • Works with external vendors and internal teams such as project management, design and development, operations, and support to requirements definition at all stages of the product life cycle
  • Use analytics tools and scientific rigor to produce actionable insights
  • Ensures delivery of efficient, agile, integrated business and system processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Master's Degree & 2 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or Life Science experience

Bachelor's Degree & 4 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or Life Science experience

Associate degree & 10 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or Life Science experience

High school diploma/GED & 12 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or Life Science experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science or PhD in Engineering or Computer Sciences
  • 3+ years or expertise in Supply Chain data analytics
  • Expertise in Python and/or R and/or SQL programming languages
  • 1+ years of experience in user interface development
  • 1+ years of experience working in software, or hardware product management / development
  • Experience with clinical trials
  • Experience writing technical documents, including specifications
  • Strong requirements leadership skills and experience
  • Ability to bridge functions, particularly technical and non-technical worlds
  • Strategic as well as tactical approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Excellent written communication skills including attention to detail and organization
  • Strong project management and scheduling experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Exposure to complete product development life cycle
  • Deep understanding of Agile and Lean Startup principle
